Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tube refrigerated crescent roll dough (or pizza dough)
- 1 tbsp ketchup (optional)
- 1 tbsp mustard (optional)
- 1 egg (for egg wash, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, cook ground beef and onion until beef is browned; drain excess fat.
- Stir in garlic powder, salt, pepper, ketchup, and mustard (if using). Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Roll out dough and cut into squares or rectangles.
- Place a spoonful of beef mixture and some shredded cheese in the center of each dough square.
- Fold over the dough to form a pocket and seal edges with a fork.
- Brush tops with beaten egg for a golden finish (optional).
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Serve warm with extra ketchup or dipping sauce.
