Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tube refrigerated crescent roll dough (or pizza dough)
  • 1 tbsp ketchup (optional)
  • 1 tbsp mustard (optional)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook ground beef and onion until beef is browned; drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in garlic powder, salt, pepper, ketchup, and mustard (if using). Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  4. Roll out dough and cut into squares or rectangles.
  5. Place a spoonful of beef mixture and some shredded cheese in the center of each dough square.
  6. Fold over the dough to form a pocket and seal edges with a fork.
  7. Brush tops with beaten egg for a golden finish (optional).
  8. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  9. Serve warm with extra ketchup or dipping sauce.
