Cheeseburger Lava Cakes


Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or cheese cubes)
  • 4 burger buns (or brioche buns)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter (for greasing)
  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato slices, pickles, ketchup, mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a muffin tin or ramekins.
  2. In a large bowl, mix ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce.
  3. Take a portion of the beef mixture and press it into each muffin tin cup, shaping it to form a “cup” with space in the center.
  4. Fill the center with shredded cheddar cheese (or cheese cubes).
  5. Cover the top with another thin layer of beef mixture, sealing the edges well to trap the cheese inside.
  6. Bake for 20–25 minutes, until the beef is fully cooked and the cheese inside is melted and gooey.
  7. Remove carefully from the muffin tin.
  8. Serve on toasted burger buns with your favorite toppings.
