Cheeseburger Casserole Recipe

This hearty and flavorful casserole is a crowd-pleaser! It combines the classic flavors of a cheeseburger in a convenient and easy-to-make dish.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can diced tomatoes and green chilies, undrained
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped pickles  
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion (optional, for topping)
  • 1/4 cup chopped pickles (optional, for topping)

Instructions:

  1. Brown the beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef. Drain off any excess grease.  
  2. Add vegetables: Add the chopped onion and green bell pepper to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Combine ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the browned beef, onion, bell pepper, tomato soup, diced tomatoes and green chilies, shredded cheddar cheese, and chopped pickles. Mix well.
  4. Assemble casserole: Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  5. Bake: Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and heated through.  
  6. Top and serve: Top with optional chopped onion and pickles, if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!

  • For extra flavor, add a tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce to the beef mixture.
