Cheese Tortellini Pepperoni Pizza Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 (20 oz) package refrigerated cheese tortellini
  • 1 (24 oz) jar pizza or marinara sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream or milk (for creaminess, optional)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper (optional)
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion (optional)
  • 20–30 slices of pepperoni
  • Olive oil or nonstick spray (for greasing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven:
    Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook Tortellini:
    Cook the cheese tortellini according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  3. Mix Sauce:
    In a large bowl, combine pizza sauce, cream (if using), Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  4. Combine & Layer:
    Add the cooked tortellini to the sauce and stir to coat. Mix in half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  5. Assemble Casserole:
    Pour the tortellini mixture into the prepared baking dish. Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan. Arrange pepperoni slices over the top. Add optional toppings like bell peppers, olives, or onions if using.
  6. Bake:
    Cover loosely with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 10–15 minutes, until bubbly and golden.
  7. Serve:
