INGREDENT
- 2 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, or sourdough)
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix)
- 1 tbsp butter (optional, for extra richness)
- Pinch of black pepper or chili flakes (optional)
- Sliced tomatoes or onions (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven or toaster oven to 375°F (190°C), or heat a non-stick pan on medium.
- Lightly toast the bread slices on one side.
- If using butter, spread it on the untoasted side of the bread.
- Pile the shredded cheese evenly over the buttered side (or untoasted side) of the bread.
- Add optional toppings like tomato slices or a sprinkle of pepper or chili flakes.
- Place the bread on a baking tray and bake for 5–7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
– If using a pan, cover it with a lid and cook on low until cheese melts. - Remove from oven, let cool slightly, then slice and serve hot!
