Cheese on Toast


INGREDENT

  • 2 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, or sourdough)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix)
  • 1 tbsp butter (optional, for extra richness)
  • Pinch of black pepper or chili flakes (optional)
  • Sliced tomatoes or onions (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven or toaster oven to 375°F (190°C), or heat a non-stick pan on medium.
  2. Lightly toast the bread slices on one side.
  3. If using butter, spread it on the untoasted side of the bread.
  4. Pile the shredded cheese evenly over the buttered side (or untoasted side) of the bread.
  5. Add optional toppings like tomato slices or a sprinkle of pepper or chili flakes.
  6. Place the bread on a baking tray and bake for 5–7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
    If using a pan, cover it with a lid and cook on low until cheese melts.
  7. Remove from oven, let cool slightly, then slice and serve hot!
