Cheese Bread

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil or melted butter
  • 1½ cups shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix)
  • 2 tbsp chopped green onions (optional)
  • ¼ tsp black pepper (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, milk, and oil until well combined.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stir until just combined (do not overmix).
  5. Fold in the shredded cheese and green onions (if using).
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Tip: Tastes amazing served warm with butter or alongside eggs for breakfast!
