- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or any cheese of your choice)
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/2 cup sour cream (or Greek yogurt for a tangy flavor)
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh herbs (optional, such as parsley or chives)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a loaf pan with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder (if using).
- Add the shredded cheese to the dry ingredients and stir until it’s evenly distributed.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, melted butter, and sour cream (or Greek yogurt).
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Transfer the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it out evenly.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool for a few minutes in the pan before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Slice and serve. Enjoy the cheesy goodness!
