INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp garlic powder (optional)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- ¼ cup vegetable oil or melted butter
- 1½ cups shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a mix)
- 2 tbsp chopped green onions (optional)
- ¼ tsp black pepper (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper.
- In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, milk, and oil until well combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stir until just combined (do not overmix).
- Fold in the shredded cheese and green onions (if using).
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Tip: Tastes amazing served warm with butter or alongside eggs for breakfast!
