Cheddar-Stuffed BBQ Bacon Bombs

INGREDENT

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 oz cheddar cheese, cut into cubes
  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite kind)
  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven or Grill:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C), or prepare your grill for indirect heat.
  2. Season the Beef:
In a bowl, mix ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Form the Bombs:
Take a small portion of beef and flatten it into a disc. Place a cube of cheddar cheese in the center, then wrap the beef around it to form a ball. Repeat with the remaining meat and cheese.
  4. Wrap with Bacon:
Wrap each beef ball with one or two slices of bacon, securing the ends with toothpicks if needed.
  5. Cook:
    • Oven method: Place the bombs on a foil-lined baking sheet with a rack. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until the bacon is crispy and beef is cooked through.
    • Grill method: Grill over indirect heat, lid closed, for about 30–35 minutes, turning occasionally until bacon is crispy.
  6. Add BBQ Sauce:
In the last 5 minutes of cooking, brush each bacon bomb generously with BBQ sauce and let it caramelize slightly.
  7. Serve:
Let them rest for a few minutes. Sprinkle with parsley if desired and serve hot!
