Caprese Salad recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 large ripe tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 ball fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp balsamic glaze (optional)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. On a serving plate, alternate slices of tomato and mozzarella in a circular pattern.
  2. Tuck whole basil leaves in between the tomato and cheese slices.
  3. Drizzle the olive oil evenly over the salad.
  4. Add a drizzle of balsamic glaze if using.
  5. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper to taste.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy fresh!
