- 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
- 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp dried basil
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp sugar (optional, to balance acidity)
- ¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional, for a little heat)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the tomato sauce and tomato paste. Stir until smooth.
- Add oregano, basil, garlic powder, onion powder, sugar (if using), and red pepper flakes.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Mix well to combine.
- Let the sauce sit for at least 15–20 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
- Use immediately on your pizza dough or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week, or freeze for longer storage.
