Ingredients
- 1 box yellow cake mix (or butter cake mix)
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup toffee bits (like Heath bits)
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, melted butter, and egg. Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Press about two-thirds of the dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- Sprinkle the chocolate chips and toffee bits evenly over the dough.
- Drizzle the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the chocolate chips and toffee bits.
- Crumble the remaining dough over the top — it won’t cover it completely, and that’s okay!
- Bake for 25–30 minutes or until golden brown and set in the center.
- Let cool completely in the pan before cutting into bars.
