Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
- 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
- 4 brioche burger buns
- 4 slices cheddar or pepper jack cheese
- 4 beef or chicken burger patties (optional if you want surf & turf style)
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tsp hot sauce (optional, for extra heat)
- 1 cup lettuce leaves
- 1 tomato, sliced
- 1 small red onion, thinly sliced
- Pickles (optional)
Instructions
- Season Shrimp – In a bowl, toss shrimp with Cajun seasoning and a drizzle of olive oil until coated.
- Cook Shrimp – Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, add butter or oil, and cook shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through. Remove from pan.
- Cook Patties (optional) – If making surf & turf style, grill or pan-fry the burger patties to your desired doneness. Add cheese slices on top during the last minute to melt.
- Toast Buns – Lightly toast the brioche buns in the skillet or oven for extra flavor.
- Make Sauce – Mix mayonnaise with hot sauce in a small bowl. Spread on both sides of the buns.
- Assemble Burgers – Place lettuce on the bottom bun, then add the cheeseburger patty (if using), top with Cajun shrimp, tomato slices, onion, and pickles.
- Serve – Close with the top bun and enjoy your spicy, cheesy Cajun Shrimp Burger!
