Ingredients
- 1 medium cabbage, thinly sliced
- 2 medium onions, thinly sliced
- 4–5 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tbsp cooking oil (vegetable, olive, or your choice)
- 1 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp paprika or chili flakes (optional, for heat)
- ½ tsp turmeric powder (optional, for color)
Instructions
- Prep the vegetables – Wash and thinly slice the cabbage and onions. Mince the garlic.
- Heat oil – In a large skillet or wok, heat the cooking oil over medium heat.
- Sauté aromatics – Add the garlic and onions. Stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until onions turn soft and slightly golden.
- Add cabbage – Toss in the sliced cabbage. Stir well to mix with the garlic and onions.
- Season – Sprinkle in salt, black pepper, paprika (if using), and turmeric (if using). Mix thoroughly.
- Cook – Stir-fry for 5–8 minutes until the cabbage is tender but still slightly crisp.
- Serve – Remove from heat and serve hot as a side dish with rice, bread, or noodles.
Tip: For extra flavor, you can add soy sauce, sesame oil, or a splash of vinegar near the end of cooking.
If you’d like, I can also make a spicy version of this with chili garlic flavor. Would you like me to do that?
