Butterfinger Balls

Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup crushed Butterfinger candy bars (about 5 fun-size bars)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 12 oz chocolate chips (milk or semi-sweet)
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil or shortening (optional, for smoother chocolate)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Mixture:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the peanut butter, softened butter, powdered sugar, crushed Butterfinger candy, and vanilla extract. Mix until fully combined and a dough forms.
  2. Shape into Balls:
Scoop out small amounts of the mixture and roll into 1-inch balls. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Chill:
Refrigerate or freeze the balls for about 20–30 minutes until firm.
  4. Melt Chocolate:
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips with coconut oil (if using) in 30-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth.
  5. Dip the Balls:
Using a fork or toothpick, dip each chilled ball into the melted chocolate, letting the excess drip off. Place them back on the parchment paper.
  6. Set:
Allow the chocolate to set by placing the tray in the fridge for another 15–20 minutes.
  7. Serve or Store:
Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
