Ingredients
- 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup (90g) powdered sugar
- 1 large egg yolk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (or almond extract for variation)
- 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in the egg yolk and vanilla extract.
- Sift in the flour and salt, then gently fold until a soft dough forms.
- Transfer the dough into a piping bag fitted with a star tip (or roll into small balls).
- Pipe or place cookies onto the baking sheet, leaving space in between.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
- Let cool on the sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
