Ingredients
- 4 ears of fresh corn on the cob
- 4 cups water
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (or to taste)
- Optional: Fresh herbs (parsley, basil) or chili powder for garnish
Instructions
- Prep the corn: Husk the corn by removing the outer leaves and silk. Trim the ends if necessary.
- Boil the water: In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add the salt to the water to season the corn as it cooks.
- Cook the corn: Once the water is boiling, carefully place the corn cobs in the pot. Cover with a lid and cook for 7-10 minutes, or until the corn is tender when pierced with a fork.
- Butter it up: While the corn is cooking, melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat.
- Serve: Once the corn is cooked, remove it from the pot and place it on a serving platter. Drizzle the melted butter over the corn or dip the cobs into the butter.
- Optional garnish: Sprinkle with fresh herbs, chili powder, or any seasoning of your choice for an extra kick.
Serve immediately and enjoy your delicious buttered boiled corn on the cob!
