Brussels Sprouts in Garlic Butter Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Brussels Sprouts:
    • Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and cut them in half.
  2. Boil:
    • Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the halved Brussels sprouts and blanch for about 4-5 minutes until they are bright green and slightly tender.
    • Drain and set aside.
  3. Sauté:
    • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
    • Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  4. Combine:
    • Add the blanched Brussels sprouts to the skillet. Toss to coat them in the garlic butter.
    • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Finish:
    • Sauté the Brussels sprouts for an additional 5-7 minutes until they are nicely browned and tender.
    • If desired, add lemon juice for brightness.
  6. Serve:
    • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving. Enjoy!
