Ingredients:
- 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Brussels Sprouts:
- Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and cut them in half.
- Boil:
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add the halved Brussels sprouts and blanch for about 4-5 minutes until they are bright green and slightly tender.
- Drain and set aside.
- Sauté:
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Combine:
- Add the blanched Brussels sprouts to the skillet. Toss to coat them in the garlic butter.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Finish:
- Sauté the Brussels sprouts for an additional 5-7 minutes until they are nicely browned and tender.
- If desired, add lemon juice for brightness.
- Serve:
