Brownie Bomb Bars Recipe

Ingredients:

For the Brownie Layer:

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt

For the Filling:

  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup milk chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup heavy cream

For the Topping:

  • ½ cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

Make the Brownie Layer:

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Cream butter and sugar: In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla: Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine dry ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  5. Mix wet and dry ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Pour batter into pan: Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.

Make the Filling:

  1. Melt chocolate and cream: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semisweet and milk chocolate chips and heavy cream. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until the chocolate is melted and smooth.

Assemble and Bake:

  1. Pour filling: Carefully pour the melted chocolate filling over the brownie batter, spreading it evenly.
  2. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  3. Cool and cut: Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before cutting into bars.

Make the Topping:

  1. Melt chocolate: Melt the remaining semisweet chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, following the same method as for the filling.
  2. Drizzle over bars: Drizzle the melted chocolate over the cooled bars.

Enjoy!
