Ingredients
- 4 bone-in or boneless pork chops (¾ to 1 inch thick)
- ¼ cup brown sugar (light or dark)
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for a little heat)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line with foil for easy cleanup.
- In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and cayenne (if using).
- Pat pork chops dry with paper towels. Rub each chop with olive oil or melted butter on both sides.
- Generously coat each pork chop with the brown sugar seasoning mixture, pressing it in so it sticks well.
- Place pork chops in the prepared baking dish.
- Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, depending on thickness, or until internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
- Optional: Broil on high for 2–3 minutes at the end to caramelize the top.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving to retain juices.
😋 Tip: Serve with mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, or a fresh salad.
