Brown Sugar Baked Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in or boneless pork chops (¾ to 1 inch thick)
  • ¼ cup brown sugar (light or dark)
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for a little heat)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line with foil for easy cleanup.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and cayenne (if using).
  3. Pat pork chops dry with paper towels. Rub each chop with olive oil or melted butter on both sides.
  4. Generously coat each pork chop with the brown sugar seasoning mixture, pressing it in so it sticks well.
  5. Place pork chops in the prepared baking dish.
  6. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, depending on thickness, or until internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  7. Optional: Broil on high for 2–3 minutes at the end to caramelize the top.
  8. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving to retain juices.

😋 Tip: Serve with mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, or a fresh salad.
