Ingredients
- 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ¾ cup (180ml) warm milk (or water)
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil (plus more for cooking)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
- Add warm milk and vegetable oil, then mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for about 2–3 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Divide the dough into 6 equal pieces and roll each into a ball.
- Flatten each ball into a round disc about ¼ inch thick.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease with oil.
- Place one disc in the skillet and cook for 1–2 minutes until bubbles form. Flip and cook the other side until golden.
- Repeat with the remaining dough pieces.
- Serve warm—perfect with butter, cheese, or your favorite dip.
Tip: For extra flavor, brush with melted garlic butter before serving.
If you want, I can also give you a soft, fluffy version with yogurt in the dough so it tastes like bakery bread but still takes only 10 minutes. Would you like that?
