Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp sugar (optional)
- 1 cup plain yogurt (or milk)
- 1 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
- Extra oil or butter for cooking
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar (if using).
- Add the yogurt and olive oil. Mix until a soft dough forms. If it’s too sticky, add a bit more flour.
- Knead the dough gently on a floured surface for 1–2 minutes until smooth.
- Divide the dough into 4–6 equal balls. Flatten each ball into a round flatbread about 1/4 inch thick.
- Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Brush lightly with oil or butter.
- Place one flatbread in the skillet. Cook for about 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Repeat with remaining flatbreads. Keep warm in a clean kitchen towel.
- Enjoy warm with butter, cheese, or your favorite dip!
