Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup plain yogurt (or milk)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda (optional, for extra fluffiness)
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tbsp oil or melted butter (optional, for softness)
- Butter or oil for cooking
Instructions
- Make the Dough: In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add yogurt (or milk) and oil. Mix until a soft dough forms. If it’s too sticky, add a bit more flour.
- Divide & Shape: Divide the dough into 4–6 equal balls. Flatten each ball into a round flatbread using your hands or a rolling pin.
- Preheat Pan: Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with butter or oil.
- Cook the Bread: Place one flatbread in the hot pan. Cook for about 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden brown spots appear and it puffs slightly.
- Repeat: Repeat with remaining dough, adding a bit of butter or oil each time if desired.
- Serve Warm: Enjoy your quick bread warm with butter, jam, or as a side with any meal!
