INGREDENT
- 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup (180ml) plain yogurt (or substitute with milk)
- 1 tbsp olive oil or melted butter (optional, for extra softness)
- Butter or oil for cooking
Instructions
- Make the Dough:
In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add yogurt (and olive oil if using), and mix until a dough forms. Knead it for 2–3 minutes until smooth. Add a little flour if it’s too sticky. - Rest (Optional but Recommended):
Cover the dough and let it rest for 5–10 minutes while you preheat your pan. - Shape the Bread:
Divide the dough into 4–6 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball, then flatten into a thin circle using a rolling pin (or your hands). - Cook:
Heat a nonstick skillet or pan over medium heat. Cook each bread for 2–3 minutes per side, until golden brown spots appear. Brush with butter or oil if desired while hot. - Serve:
Serve warm! Perfect with dips, soups, or just enjoy plain — it’s that good!
