Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup warm milk (about 110°F)
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp melted butter or vegetable oil
- 2 ¼ tsp (1 packet) instant yeast
- ½ tsp salt
Instructions
- Blend Wet Ingredients: In a blender, add warm milk, egg, sugar, melted butter (or oil), and instant yeast. Blend for about 30 seconds until well mixed.
- Add Dry Ingredients: Add flour and salt to the blender. Blend on low speed (or pulse) just until combined and a sticky dough forms.
- First Rise: Pour the dough into a greased bowl, cover with a clean towel or plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for 45–60 minutes, or until doubled in size.
- Shape Rolls: Dust your hands with flour, gently deflate the dough, and divide it into 8–10 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and place them on a greased baking tray or in a baking dish.
- Second Rise: Cover the rolls and let them rise again for about 30 minutes, until puffy. Meanwhile, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bake: Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown on top.
- Serve: Brush with extra melted butter if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!
If you’d like, I can adjust it for whole wheat, dairy-free, or add flavor twists like garlic butter or herbs — just say the word!
