A delightful fusion of warm, buttery biscuits with cool, creamy ice cream. This unique dessert combines the comforting flavors of freshly baked biscuits with the indulgent taste of ice cream, creating a deliciously unexpected treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, cold and cut into small pieces
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • 1 pint of your favorite ice cream (vanilla, chocolate, or any flavor you prefer)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  1. Prepare the Biscuit Dough:
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Add the cold butter pieces to the dry ingredients. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to work the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Pour in the buttermilk and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  1. Shape and Bake Biscuits:
  • Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently knead it a few times until it comes together. Pat it into a 1-inch thick rectangle.
  • Use a biscuit cutter or a glass to cut out biscuits and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through.
  1. Assemble the Dessert:
  • Allow the biscuits to cool slightly before serving.
  • Cut each biscuit in half and top with a scoop of ice cream.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Feel free to add toppings like chocolate sauce, caramel, or fresh fruit for extra flavor!
