Ingredients
- 8 oz beef (sirloin or flank steak), thinly sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 8 oz egg noodles or lo mein noodles
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch ginger, grated
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- ½ cup beef broth or water
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
- 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Beef: In a bowl, toss the sliced beef with 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp cornstarch, and a pinch of pepper. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
- Cook the Noodles: Boil the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Blanch the Broccoli: Boil or steam the broccoli for 2 minutes until bright green. Drain and set aside.
- Stir-Fry the Beef: Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan or wok over high heat. Sear the beef for 2 minutes until browned. Remove from the pan.
- Sauté the Aromatics: Add another tbsp of oil. Stir-fry garlic and ginger until fragrant.
- Make the Sauce: Add beef broth, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and remaining soy sauce. Stir well.
- Combine Everything: Return the beef to the pan, then add the broccoli and cooked noodles. Toss everything together. Drizzle sesame oil and sprinkle red pepper flakes if desired.
- Garnish & Serve: Top with sesame seeds and green onions. Enjoy your delicious beef broccoli noodles!
