🥩 Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (divided)
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 2 green onions, chopped (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked rice, for serving
🍳 Instructions
- Marinate the Beef:
In a bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and cornstarch. Add the sliced beef and toss to coat. Let it marinate for at least 15–20 minutes. - Cook the Beef:
Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the beef in a single layer (do in batches if needed) and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside. - Sauté the Veggies:
Add the remaining tablespoon of oil to the skillet. Toss in the garlic, ginger, and sliced bell peppers. Stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until peppers are just tender but still crisp. - Combine Everything:
Return the beef to the skillet. Stir-fry everything together for another 1–2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld. Add green onions if using. - Serve:
Serve hot over cooked rice or noodles. Sprinkle with extra green onions if desired.
