Ingredients
- 5–6 dried bay leaves
- 1 cup (250 ml) water
- 1 tablespoon aloe vera gel (optional, for extra moisture)
- 1 teaspoon olive or coconut oil (optional)
Instructions
- Bring the cup of water to a boil in a small pot.
- Add the bay leaves and let them simmer on low heat for 5–7 minutes.
- Turn off the heat, cover, and allow the infusion to steep until lukewarm.
- Strain the liquid into a clean bowl.
- (Optional) Stir in the aloe vera gel and oil to make a light lotion-like mixture.
- Apply the cooled infusion or mixture to clean skin with a cotton pad.
- Leave on for 10–15 minutes, then rinse off with lukewarm water.
- Use once or twice a week and follow with your usual moisturizer.
This is a traditional beauty tip and may help refresh or tone the skin, but it won’t literally work “like Botox” — results vary and it’s best to do a patch test first to make sure your skin doesn’t react.
Would you like me to make this in a DIY face mask form (thicker paste) instead of a liquid infusion?
