Ingredients
- 1 box yellow cake mix (plus ingredients listed on the box)
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1 (3.4 oz) box instant banana pudding mix
- 1 Β½ cups cold milk
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- ΒΌ cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 20 vanilla wafers, crushed
- 1 banana, sliced (for garnish)
- Whipped topping (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Cake:
- Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C).
- Prepare the yellow cake mix according to the box instructions, then fold in the mashed bananas.
- Pour the batter into a greased 9Γ13-inch baking dish and bake as directed.
- Allow the cake to cool completely.
- Make the Pudding Layer:
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the banana pudding mix and cold milk until thickened.
- Spread the pudding evenly over the cooled cake.
- Make the Whipped Cream Topping:
- In a separate bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
- Spread the whipped cream over the pudding layer.
- Garnish & Serve:
- Sprinkle the crushed vanilla wafers on top.
- Garnish with banana slices just before serving.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to let the flavors meld.
