Banana Peel Anti-Wrinkle Cream Recipe

This recipe utilizes the potential antioxidant and moisturizing properties of banana peels to create a simple, homemade anti-wrinkle cream.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe banana peel (inner white part preferred)
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (or olive oil, almond oil)
  • 1 teaspoon aloe vera gel (optional, for soothing)
  • A few drops of vitamin E oil (optional, for added antioxidant benefits)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Peel: Thoroughly wash the banana peel to remove any dirt or pesticides. Scrape the inner white part of the peel using a spoon. This is where many of the beneficial nutrients are concentrated.
  2. Blend or Mash: Place the scraped banana peel pulp into a blender or food processor. Blend until you get a smooth paste. Alternatively, you can mash it very finely with a fork.
  3. Combine Oils: In a small, clean bowl, combine the coconut oil (or your chosen oil) with the banana peel paste.
  4. Add Optional Ingredients: If desired, add the aloe vera gel and vitamin E oil to the mixture. Stir well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  5. Storage: Transfer the cream to a clean, airtight container. Store it in the refrigerator.
  6. Application: Apply a small amount of the cream to clean, dry skin, focusing on areas prone to wrinkles. Gently massage it in. Use it at night for best results.
  7. Patch Test: Before applying the cream to your entire face, perform a patch test on a small area of skin to check for any allergic reactions or irritation.
  8. Shelf Life: Due to the natural ingredients, this cream has a short shelf life. It’s best used within a few days to a week when stored in the refrigerator.

  • If you have sensitive skin, be cautious and perform a patch test.
  • Hygiene is very important when creating homemade cosmetics. Always use clean utensils and containers.
  • This recipe is based on the idea of the nutrients in the banana peel being beneficial to the skin. There is not extensive scientific research that proves that this homemade cream will eliminate wrinkles.
