Banana Lemon Ginger Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger (or 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger)
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1/2 cup plain or Greek yogurt (optional for creaminess)
  • 1/2 cup cold water or coconut water (adjust to desired consistency)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • A few ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Peel the banana and place it in a blender.
  2. Add the freshly grated ginger, lemon juice, yogurt (if using), water or coconut water, and honey.
  3. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add ice cubes and blend again until frothy and cold.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness or ginger to your liking.
