    • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
    • 2 large eggs
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 cup all-purpose flour
    • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
    • ½ teaspoon salt
  • For the Banana Layer:
    • 2 large ripe bananas, mashed
    • ¼ cup packed light brown sugar
    • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
    • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
    • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Set oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Make the Brownies:
    • In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until combined.
    • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
    • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
    • Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking pan.
  3. Make the Banana Layer:
    • In a medium bowl, combine the mashed bananas, brown sugar, flour, baking powder, and cinnamon. Mix until well combined.
    • Spread the banana mixture evenly over the brownie batter in the pan.
  4. Bake:
    • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  5. Cool and Serve:
    • Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Tips:

  • For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate cocoa powder.
  • To make the brownies extra fudgy, underbake them slightly.
  • You can add chopped nuts, chocolate chips, or other mix-ins to the batter.
  • For a healthier twist, use whole wheat flour and a natural sweetener like honey or maple syrup.
