With a few simple ingredients and a straightforward baking process, you can create a soft, tender, and aromatic loaf that pairs wonderfully with coffee, tea, or a spread of butter.

Ingredients

• 3 ripe bananas (mashed)
• 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
• ½ cup granulated sugar
• ½ cup brown sugar
• ½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
• 2 large eggs
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• ½ teaspoon salt
• ½ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
• ½ cup chopped nuts or chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

Preheat Oven – Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Prepare Bananas – Peel and mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth. Set aside.

Mix Wet Ingredients – In a large bowl, whisk the melted butter and both sugars until well combined. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract and mashed bananas.

Combine Dry Ingredients – In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. If adding nuts or chocolate chips, mix them in to distribute evenly.

Blend the Batter – Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently with a spatula or wooden spoon. Mix until just combined. Avoid overmixing, as it can make the bread dense.

Transfer to Pan – Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly.

Bake – Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.

Cool the Bread – Remove the loaf from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes. Then, transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.

Serve and Enjoy – Slice the banana bread and serve it as-is or with butter, honey, or a drizzle of chocolate for extra indulgence.
