Baked Sweet Potatoes with Butter & Black Pepper

Ingredients

  • 2 medium sweet potatoes
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • Salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Wash and scrub the sweet potatoes thoroughly. Pat dry.
  3. Pierce each sweet potato several times with a fork.
  4. Place sweet potatoes on a baking sheet and bake for 45–60 minutes, until tender when pierced with a fork.
  5. Remove from the oven and slice open each sweet potato.
  6. Add 1 tbsp butter to each potato. Sprinkle with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!

Tips

  • For extra flavor, try adding a sprinkle of cinnamon or paprika.
  • You can microwave sweet potatoes for 8–10 minutes if you’re short on time.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven.
