Ingredients
- 2 medium sweet potatoes
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Wash and scrub the sweet potatoes thoroughly. Pat dry.
- Pierce each sweet potato several times with a fork.
- Place sweet potatoes on a baking sheet and bake for 45–60 minutes, until tender when pierced with a fork.
- Remove from the oven and slice open each sweet potato.
- Add 1 tbsp butter to each potato. Sprinkle with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Tips
- For extra flavor, try adding a sprinkle of cinnamon or paprika.
- You can microwave sweet potatoes for 8–10 minutes if you’re short on time.
- Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven.
