- 4 large russet potatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter

Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare the Potatoes: Scrub the potatoes clean and pat them dry. Prick each potato a few times with a fork.
- Oil and Salt: Rub each potato with olive oil or melted butter and sprinkle with salt.
- Bake: Place the potatoes directly on the oven rack or on a baking sheet. Bake for 45–60 minutes, or until the skin is crispy and a fork easily pierces through the center.
- Serve: Cut a slit across the top, fluff the inside with a fork, and add your favorite toppings.
