A classic baked potato is crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and makes a perfect side dish or light meal. Simple yet satisfying, it’s easily customizable with your favorite toppings like butter, sour cream, cheese, or chives.
Ingredients
- 4 large russet potatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- Optional toppings: butter, sour cream, shredded cheese, chopped chives, bacon bits
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Scrub the potatoes clean and pat them dry with a towel.
- Use a fork to poke holes all over each potato.
- Rub each potato with olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt.
- Place the potatoes directly on the oven rack or on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 45–60 minutes, or until the skin is crispy and a fork easily pierces through the center.
- Remove from the oven, slice open, and fluff the insides with a fork.
- Add your favorite toppings and serve hot.
