Baked Potato Recipe

A classic baked potato is crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and makes a perfect side dish or light meal. Simple yet satisfying, it’s easily customizable with your favorite toppings like butter, sour cream, cheese, or chives.

Ingredients

  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • Optional toppings: butter, sour cream, shredded cheese, chopped chives, bacon bits

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Scrub the potatoes clean and pat them dry with a towel.
  3. Use a fork to poke holes all over each potato.
  4. Rub each potato with olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt.
  5. Place the potatoes directly on the oven rack or on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 45–60 minutes, or until the skin is crispy and a fork easily pierces through the center.
  7. Remove from the oven, slice open, and fluff the insides with a fork.
  8. Add your favorite toppings and serve hot.
