Baked Lobster Tails with Garlic Butter

Ingredients

  • 2 lobster tails (5–6 ounces each)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: fresh chopped parsley and lemon wedges for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with foil for easy cleanup.
  2. Prepare the lobster tails:
    • Using kitchen scissors, cut down the center of the shell lengthwise, stopping at the tail. Gently lift the meat and rest it on top of the shell for a “butterflied” presentation.
    • Pat the lobster meat dry with paper towels.
  3. Make the garlic butter:
    • In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Brush the garlic butter generously over the exposed lobster meat.
  5. Bake:
    • Place the lobster tails on the prepared baking sheet.
    • Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the meat is opaque and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 140–145°F or 60–63°C).
  6. Optional: Broil for 1–2 minutes at the end for a lightly browned top.
  7. Serve hot with extra melted butter, a sprinkle of parsley, and lemon wedges.
