Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a donut pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg.
- In another bowl, whisk milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla until well combined.
- Add wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined (do not overmix).
- Spoon or pipe the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each mold about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the donuts spring back when lightly touched.
- Allow donuts to cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
- For topping: Dip each donut lightly in melted butter, then roll in cinnamon sugar mixture.
