Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar mixed with 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a donut pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg.
  3. In another bowl, whisk milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla until well combined.
  4. Add wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined (do not overmix).
  5. Spoon or pipe the batter into the prepared donut pan, filling each mold about 2/3 full.
  6. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the donuts spring back when lightly touched.
  7. Allow donuts to cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  8. For topping: Dip each donut lightly in melted butter, then roll in cinnamon sugar mixture.
