- 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 2 medium tomatoes, sliced
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese (or a mix of cheddar and mozzarella)
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil (optional)

Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare Crust: Place the pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish. Bake for 8–10 minutes until lightly golden. Remove and set aside.
- Cook Bacon & Onion: In a skillet, cook bacon until crispy. Remove, drain, and crumble. In the same skillet, sauté the sliced onion in the bacon drippings until soft and golden.
- Layer Filling: Sprinkle the crumbled bacon over the bottom of the pie crust. Top with sautéed onions, then arrange tomato slices on top. Season with salt and pepper.
- Make Cheese Topping: In a small bowl, mix the shredded cheese, mayonnaise, and basil. Spread this mixture evenly over the tomatoes.
- Bake: Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
- Serve: Let the pie cool for 5–10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
