INGREDIENTS
- 3 cups frozen tater tots (thawed)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 strips cooked bacon, crumbled
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Oil, for frying (or baking spray if using oven/air fryer)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat Oven or Air Fryer
- If baking, preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- If using an air fryer, preheat to 380°F (190°C).
- If frying, heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
- Mash the Tater Tots
- In a large bowl, mash the thawed tater tots with a fork until smooth.
- Mix in Goodness
- Add in the shredded cheese, crumbled bacon, flour, and egg.
- Season with a bit of salt and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape into Balls
- Take about 1 tablespoon of the mixture and roll into balls or small oval tater tot shapes.
- Cook
- To Fry: Carefully drop into hot oil and fry until golden brown (about 2–3 minutes). Remove and drain on paper towels.
- To Bake: Place on a greased baking sheet and bake for 20–25 minutes or until crispy, turning once halfway.
- To Air Fry: Place in air fryer basket and cook for 10–12 minutes, shaking halfway through.
- Serve Hot
- Serve with dipping sauces like ranch, ketchup, or spicy mayo.
