Apple Pie in 10 Minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 large apples (peeled, cored, and thinly sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar (optional, for extra sweetness)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry or 2 flour tortillas (for quick crust)
  • Powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
  2. Add sliced apples, brown sugar, white sugar (if using), cinnamon, and lemon juice.
  3. Cook for 4–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until apples are tender. Add cornstarch if you’d like a thicker filling and stir until thickened.
  4. While apples cook, warm your puff pastry or tortillas in a dry pan for 1–2 minutes on each side until lightly golden (if using puff pastry, you can also microwave or pan-sear small squares).
  5. Spoon the apple filling onto the pastry or tortilla, fold over, or serve open-faced.
  6. Dust with powdered sugar or a scoop of ice cream if desired, and serve immediately.

Would you like a version that’s fully microwaveable too?
