Apple Dumplings Made with Only 5 Ingredients

These simple and delicious apple dumplings require just 5 basic ingredients. They are perfect for a quick dessert that still delivers rich flavor. Flaky, golden pastry filled with tender apples and a sweet buttery sauce—this is comfort food at its finest!

Ingredients

  • 2 large Granny Smith apples (or any tart variety)
  • 1 can refrigerated crescent rolls (8 rolls)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup butter (2 sticks), melted
  • 1 can (12 oz) lemon-lime soda (such as Sprite or 7-Up)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Peel and core the apples, then cut each apple into 8 wedges.
  3. Wrap each apple wedge in a crescent roll triangle, starting from the wide end and rolling to the pointed end. Place the wrapped apples in the greased baking dish.
  4. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the sugar and stir until combined, but do not completely dissolve the sugar. Pour the butter mixture evenly over the wrapped apples.
  5. Pour the lemon-lime soda around the edges of the baking dish (not directly on top of the dumplings).
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and the sauce is bubbly.
  7. Serve warm, optionally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for extra indulgence.

Enjoy your warm, comforting apple dumplings!
