Apple Cinnamon Breakfast Quesadillas Recipe


INGREDIENTS

  • 2 medium apples (peeled and thinly sliced)
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
  • 4 flour tortillas
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • Powdered sugar (for garnish, optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Heat butter in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced apples and cook for 3–4 minutes until soft.
  3. Stir in brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Cook until caramelized.
  4. Remove from heat and set aside.
  5. Place a tortilla on a flat surface.
  6. Sprinkle cheese evenly on one half of the tortilla.
  7. Spoon apple mixture over the cheese.
  8. Fold tortilla in half to form a quesadilla.
  9. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat.
  10. Cook quesadilla for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and cheese melts.
  11. Remove from pan and cut into wedges.
  12. Drizzle with honey or maple syrup if desired.
  13. Sprinkle powdered sugar on top before serving.
