  • Warm tortillas, for serving
  • Optional toppings: sour cream, guacamole, salsa, shredded cheese, cilantro

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients:
    • Slice the chicken, bell peppers, and onion into even strips for consistent cooking.
  2. Season the Mixture:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the chicken, peppers, and onion.
    • Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle the chili powder, smoked paprika, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss until evenly coated.

    • Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and preheat for 3-5 minutes.
  4. Cook the Fajitas:
    • Place the seasoned chicken and veggies in the air fryer basket. Spread them out in an even layer to ensure even cooking.
    • Cook for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the chicken is fully cooked (internal temperature reaches 165°F or 74°C) and the veggies are tender.
  5. Finish with Lime:
    • Once cooked, remove from the air fryer and squeeze fresh lime juice over the mixture for a burst of citrus flavor.
  6. Serve:
    • Serve the chicken fajitas in warm tortillas and top with your favorite toppings. Enjoy!

Tips:

  • For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or sliced jalapeños to the mix.
