Ingredients:
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup of brown sugar
- 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup of melted butter (or coconut oil)
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- A pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup of chocolate chips (or any add-ins like nuts or dried fruit)
Instructions:
- Preheat & Prepare: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until well combined. Add the egg and vanilla extract, then mix until smooth.
- Add Dry Ingredients: Add flour, baking soda, and a pinch of salt into the bowl. Mix until a soft dough forms. Fold in the chocolate chips or your chosen add-ins.
- Shape & Bake: Scoop small spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, flattening them slightly. Place in the oven and bake for about 5 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Cool & Enjoy: Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack. Enjoy warm, or store them in an airtight container for a quick snack later!
