Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ cups warm water
- 2 teaspoons instant yeast (or active dry yeast)
- 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt.
- In a separate cup, dissolve the yeast in warm water. Let it sit for 5 minutes if using active dry yeast.
- Pour the yeast mixture into the flour and stir until a sticky dough forms.
- Cover the bowl with a clean cloth and let the dough rise for 1–2 hours, or until doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface and shape it into a round loaf.
- Place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or in a lightly greased loaf pan.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the bread sounds hollow when tapped.
- Let it cool slightly before slicing.
