  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups warm water
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast (or active dry yeast)
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt.
  2. In a separate cup, dissolve the yeast in warm water. Let it sit for 5 minutes if using active dry yeast.
  3. Pour the yeast mixture into the flour and stir until a sticky dough forms.
  4. Cover the bowl with a clean cloth and let the dough rise for 1–2 hours, or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).
  6. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and shape it into a round loaf.
  7. Place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or in a lightly greased loaf pan.
  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the bread sounds hollow when tapped.
