30-Minute Rolls


These soft and fluffy 30-minute rolls are perfect for when you need fresh homemade bread in a hurry. With just a few simple ingredients and a short rising time, you can have warm, buttery rolls on the table in no time. They’re ideal for weeknight dinners, holiday meals, or any occasion where fresh bread is a must.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water (110°F/45°C)
  • 2 tablespoons active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast:
    In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm water, yeast, and sugar. Stir gently and let the mixture sit for about 5 minutes, or until it becomes frothy.
  2. Mix the dough:
    Add the oil, salt, and 2 cups of flour to the yeast mixture. Stir until the ingredients are combined. Gradually add the remaining flour, mixing until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough:
    Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 3-5 minutes until smooth and elastic. Alternatively, you can use a stand mixer with a dough hook for this step.
  4. Shape the rolls:
    Divide the dough into 12 equal portions and roll each portion into a ball. Place the dough balls on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Let rise:
    Cover the rolls with a clean kitchen towel and let them rise in a warm place for about 10-15 minutes, or until they have doubled in size.
  6. Bake:
    Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the rolls for 10-12 minutes or until they are golden brown on top.
  7. Finish and serve:
    Once the rolls are out of the oven, brush them with melted butter for extra flavor. Serve warm and enjoy!
