20-Minute No-Bake Cheese Bread

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice)
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt or sour cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp melted butter or olive oil
  • Optional: chopped herbs (like parsley or chives)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  2. Stir in the shredded cheese and optional herbs, if using.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the yogurt (or sour cream), milk, and melted butter (or oil).
  4. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients. Stir until a soft dough forms — don’t overmix.
  5. Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium-low heat. Lightly grease it with a little butter or oil.
  6. Divide the dough into 4–6 portions and shape each into a flat round.
  7. Place the rounds in the skillet and cook for about 5–7 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Adjust heat as needed to prevent burning.
  8. Serve warm — spread with extra butter if you like!
