Ingredients:
- Peels from 4–5 medium potatoes (preferably brown or red potatoes)
- 2 tablespoons apricot kernel oil (or use coconut or olive oil if unavailable)
🔧 Instructions:
- Boil the Potato Peels:
- Add the potato peels to 2 cups of water.
- Bring to a boil and then simmer for 15–20 minutes.
- Let it cool completely.
- Strain the liquid into a bowl. This will be your potato peel rinse.
- Add Apricot Oil:
- Once the potato peel water cools, add 2 tablespoons of apricot kernel oil.
- Mix well (you can shake it in a spray bottle).
- Apply to Hair:
- Wash your hair as usual, towel dry it lightly.
- Massage the potato peel + oil mixture into your scalp and through your hair, focusing on gray areas.
- Do not rinse out. Let it air dry.
- Frequency:
- Use 3–4 times per week for noticeable results in a few weeks.
- This is a gradual, natural darkening remedy, not a one-time dye.
💡 How It Works:
- Potato peels are rich in starch and natural pigments that can help darken gray strands gradually.
- Apricot oil nourishes the scalp, strengthens follicles, and adds shine to hair.
