1 Egg, Flour, Warm Milk, Sugar, and Yeast — They’re Irresistible!

Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (optional, for richer flavor)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast and sugar in the warm milk. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the egg lightly, then add the yeast mixture.
  3. Gradually add the flour and a pinch of salt. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  6. Once risen, punch down the dough and shape it as desired — rolls, buns, or small loaves.
  7. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cover and let rise again for 20–30 minutes.
  8. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Brush with melted butter if using.
  9. Bake for 15–20 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Let cool slightly and enjoy warm — they’re truly irresistible!
